Our Story

For over 20 years, Camp Agape has been a 501(c)(3), Non-Profit Organization operating in support of children between the ages of seven and 18 who have suffered the loss of a loved one. We offer the fun and activities of a summer camp and a creative program focused on helping children work with their loss, learn from their grief, and find new hope from their loss. This four-day program is offered at no cost to the children through private, community, and corporate giving sponsorships.

What We Do

Camp Agape is made up of many hearts that struggle daily with grief.

We work with children affected by cases of suicide, murder, drunk driving, cancer, heart attacks, drug overdoses, and sadly, even more.

We work to improve children’s lives and equip their families with the tools to help the entire family through the pain, anguish, and ambiguity of the trauma that is grief due to the loss of a loved one.

Mission Statement

Camp Agape is a safe place that provides a fun and supportive atmosphere, while fostering faith, healing and hope for children, teens, and families through their grief journey.

Statement Of Faith

  • We believe fully that the Holy Bible was divinely inspired and is the only written record of God’s revelation of Himself; and is the authority for all life and practice.
  • We believe salvation is a gift of God through faith in His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ.
  • We believe the teachings of the Bible are relevant to today’s society and traditional family values.
  • We believe that we are to be living examples of an exemplary way of life for the children in our care; we expect our volunteers to portray a Christ-centered lifestyle both during and outside of camp.
